What is soil erosion control?

Soil erosion control (SEC) is an emerging business opportunity within the construction industry. The purpose of SEC is to prevent both water and air pollution by retaining any disturbed soil within a given construction site.

pHence it specialises in the erection of temporary structures to retain this soil:

  • silt fence to filter any run off after rain
  • dust fence to capture any air borne dust particles

What is silt fence?

Silt fence is a temporary fence constructed of a geo-textile fabric and timber pickets. The geo-textile is installed stapled to the pickets with approximately 150mm buried below the ground and the remainder approximately 600mm above the ground surface. The geo-textile slows the flow of water, gradually allowing the water to pass through and retaining any soil particles behind the fence.

What is dust fence?

Dust fence is also a temporary fence constructed by fixing shade cloth to a star picket and wire fence usually 1800mm high. The shade cloth will allow the wind to pass through but captures a large percentage of the dust particles to prevent air pollution and retain the soil within the site.

Where to from here?

The objective of the pHence It recruitment and screening process is to attract the ‘right people’ with the combination of passion for the business, capital and commitment to the long term success of the group.

Consequently, pHence It has a recruitment, screening and selection process that is focused on achieving this objective.

  • Once you have registered your initial interest, we will contact you via phone and engage in a general discussion. If, following this, we are both comfortable to proceed we will arrange a suitable time for a first interview.
  • The initial meeting is to clarify the key elements of the pHence It business opportunity for you, and to provide us with some information about yourself. You will be required to sign a Confidentiality Agreement. Essentially this meeting is a ‘get to know you’ meeting. At the end of the meeting you will be provided an application form for you to take home and complete.
  • During the interim between the first and second meeting you are encouraged to conduct any research you deem appropriate in your decision-making process. If you intend to proceed further, you will be expected to make a refundable application fee of $3,000 accompanied by your completed Franchisee Application Form prior to your second meeting.
  • The second meeting will be held, during which your application form and some of the more specific issues regarding franchising, such as the franchise code of conduct, disclosure document, and franchise agreement will be discussed. You will then be required to take these documents and seek independent legal and accounting advice.
  • The third meeting is to resolve any outstanding issues and where possible provide the opportunity to meet key head office team members.
  • The key objective of the fourth and final meeting is to finalise the decision and sign the offer to franchise. At this point you will be expected to pay the franchise fee and the legal documentation will proceed to be drafted and signed.

This rigorous process will ensure we have team members on board who encapsulate our strategy and philosophies, positioning pHence It for success.
